Much like its predecessors Music Videos That Don't Suck and Awesome 90's Songs You May Have Forgotten, Weave Gotcha Covered is a (fairly) new music feature we've been putting out from time to time to shine some light on our favorite musical covers. This installment features Dynamite Hack covering Eazy E’s “Boyz N The Hood”, and I’ve got to admit, I’m pissed it took me until the third edition of WGC to give this song its due diligence. This may very well be the best cover of all time. Exact same lyrics as Eazy uses, yet the songs could not sound anymore different if they tried. I’ll never forgot listening to this song in fifth grade at buddy Kevin’s house and loving the part of the song that went “greeted with a 40 and I start drinkin', And from the 8-ball my breath start stinkin', I gotta get my girl to rock that body, Before I left I hit the Bacardi.” I literally had no idea what a 40, 8-ball or Bacardi were, but it didn’t matter, that song resonated with us all. This rendition of Boyz In The Hood is the best white-acoustic-gangster rap performance ever. There is no close second.
