The Payphone Funeral
Payphones started becoming obsolete about a decade before Adam Levine harmonized about not having enough change to call home, but I still can't shake the feeling that this timely telecommunication tool never got a proper goodbye.
Until now.
Nick Smatt, director of the viral Valentine's Day "Go Love" video, is back at it again. This time paying homage to the payphone. The funeral was shot by the West 4th subway station and features the acting debut of yours truly.
So join us as we say goodbye to the payphone, and thanks to the fact that we'll never have to rub its filthy receiver up to our ears ever again.
